The National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Service (SENASAG) informed WOAH that Bolivia will organise a field simulation exercise from 5 to 9 December 2022 in the municipality of Montero – Department of Santa Cruz. The Chief Veterinary Officer of the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry informed WOAH that a simulation exercise “EXERCISE PREPARE” (Poultry Response Emergency Preparedness And Recovery Exercise) will be held in Australia on 22 and 23 November 2022, using a high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak scenario. The aim of the simulation is to test the operational challenges of destruction, disposal, decontamination and recovery in the event of an HPAI outbreak. Participants will include the farmers, egg producers and major egg and chicken meat companies.
