OIE reported Spring viraemia of carp (SVC) in Padova, Veneto. The virus was confirmed through testing that followed reporting high mortality of carps in a lake. The high level of mortality was possibly caused by the copresence of carp edema virus found in other carp samples.

OIE reported lumpy skin disease (LSD) in Wucheng District, Zhejiang, the first LSD occurrence in this part of the country. The virus was found in cattle on a livestock market in Dongzhou Village.
