The first human case of the season of West Nile virus (WNV) of 2019 has been confirmed in a Mitchell County resident, according to officials with Southwest Health District.

Two Benton County women in their 50s have come down with West Nile virus (WNV), according to the Benton Franklin Health District. That brings the total of cases this year in Washington to 3, all of them in or close to the Tri-Cities.
